An eating spoon carved from olive wood, measuring approx. 14.5cm in length and featuring chip carving on the handle.
This cranky spoon comes from a lovely bent branch I spotted at a neighbours bonfire in July of 2022, they had just trimmed their olive tree and were intending to burn the lot. 
The curve of the spoon follows the orginal curve of the branch, and the carved handle depicts abstract faces rising from the bowl. The spoon has been carbonised to deepen the colour.

Care for your woodeware:
Do not put in the dishwasher! Wash with warm soapy water, avoid soaking and dry soon after.
Once or twice a year you can oil with walnut, linseed, foodsafe mineral oil or something similar.
With regular use the woodenware will form a patina. This adds to both the strength and character of the utensil.
