A cup carved with axe and knife from mulberry, measuring approx 19.5cm in length and 6.5cm deep. Holds approx 200mL. Finished with walnut oil and beeswax.
As one of my favourite woods it was a treat to work with a piece of mulberry big enough for a cup (I don't come across it often). The dense heartwood carved cleanly and the prominence of the grain is outstanding! Suitable for hot and cold liquids.

Care for your woodeware:
Do not put in the dishwasher! Wash with warm soapy water, avoid soaking and dry soon after.
Once or twice a year you can oil with walnut, linseed, foodsafe mineral oil or something similar.
With regular use the woodenware will form a patina. This adds to both the strength and character of the utensil.
